This webinar provides an overview of D-SNP contracting for state Medicaid agencies and a summary of new rules related to D-SNP contracting. It is the first in a series of three webinars. The second webinar in the series is available here, and the third will be available in January 2026.

Learning Objectives: By the end of this presentation, attendees should be able to:

  • Describe what D-SNPs are and how they differ from regular Medicare Advantage plans;
  • Understand the basics of D-SNP contracting with states, including required minimum contract elements and specific contract elements needed for Highly Integrated Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (HIDE SNPs), Fully Integrated Dual Eligible Special Needs Plans (FIDE SNPs), and Applicable Integrated Plans (AIPs);
  • Understand new rules related to D-SNP contracting.
